+ jacket: mother hubbard wynyard, dress: nanna's vintage launceston, shoes: harajuku lovers.

I bought this one of a kind jacket last weekend while on a little day trip with my friend Sara. We stopped in a tiny town called Wynyard (famous for its tulips) and I spotted this shop - a wonderfully 'organised clutter' antique kind of place called Mother Hubbard - I entered, walked all the way to the back without stopping, pulled out this jacket and then bought it. I would have loved to have spent a few hours browsing, but I knew I wasn't going to find anything to top the jacket. I'd love to go back. What a shame it's a three hour drive.

I wore this outfit today while C and I rode around opshopping. It was slim pickings today but I did find a rather nice art deco buffet for our tv to sit on. I hate waiting for things to be delivered though - I am very impatient. I also saw one of my dream couches, but after sitting on it for some time contemplating C and I decided that our existing couch doesn't yet need replacing (my cats are tending to that though). I am certain it won't be there next time. Oh well!

Worn; White Cuffs, Kitty & Baguette

+ dress & jacket; nanna's + shoes; vivienne westwood & melissa.

I don't wear white very often. Yesterday I wore this dress, ate some pasta and dropped bits of it down my front - it now has some never-coming-out orange stains down the front. White should be worn with caution and not by the careless and clumsy (me). I might buy some fabric dye next week and spruce it up. Also, It seems that standing in doorways makes you look very short. I am a whole 5'4" tall - not as short as this doorway would have you believe. Now... here are some pictures of my cat and a baguette - he's been trying to gnaw through the plastic since C brought it home.

Mail; To Kaelah

Kaelah is one of my favourite bloggers and I thought I'd send her a little note today. She is a wonderful, crafty, colourful lady and she inspires me daily. This little letter/postcard hybrid is stitched together on one side and ties together on the other - so you can open it like a card. With items of mail like this, sometimes you can only really cross your fingers and hope they make it through the postal system unscathed. I am a bit obsessed with circles at the moment.

Have you beens sending any postal goodies lately?
