Just for today I thought it might be best to split up my outgoing and incoming mail because these posts are so image heavy! Here are the beauteous items that have been gracing my mailbox.

^ A fantastically mail-arted envelope containing lovely things from Bria in Sweden.

^ An expectedly beautiful little package from lovely Crystal. I can't wait to reply :D

^ A fantastic little card from miss Mary - it reminded me of C.

^ A sweet little letter from Becky the Snail Mailer in Pennsylvania (does that kind of rhyme?!).

^ Ilona was kind enough to share some of the Halloween spirit with me - Australia sadly doesn't really participate in Halloween so I live vicariously through American penpals. I loved every bit and may have frightened C a little bit wearing those batty glasses. And as always she included a letter that made me sad to finish reading it!

^ Some beautiful mail art from Nely.

^ A very lovely letter list from the Ford family in Nebraska.

^ Deborah, Wendy and Britt all sent books of stamps in exchange for zines - I have used them all up already!

^ Sara Jean sent me the most excellent pack of papery bits and pieces. If you're reading - I adored it and have used a portion of it already!

^ I thought I'd expand my mail themed zine collection and bought this cute zine from here.

^ I bought a very cute headband from Andrea's Etsy store recently and she threw in a bunch of other goodies. I tried to take a photo of myself wearing the headband but couldn't do it justice - I'll have to try again later. Beautiful stuff. Also, I stayed up really late a few nights ago chatting to her on gmail chat and it wasn't until afterward that I made the connection between staying up all night and her blog being called 'The Art of Staying Up All Night'.

^ Gorgeous correspondence from Brodie. That card wins.

^ Sharni was in my state and sent me a sweet hello.

^ Some mail art hand-crafted by Mr Real Wall, Andy.

^ A great letter and some excellent papery things from Sue in Massachusetts.

^ A lovely feel-good letter from Bostonian in New Zealand, April.

^ This pretty bird delivered me some questions from Amy in Brisbane.

Red Frills

A very quick and very rare outfit post. This is what I wore last night when C and I went to see my friend Carmen's boyfriend's band Hungry Kids of Hungary. They were excellent, I highly recommend them. I find my poses very awkward, haha. I think these photos really accentuate my lack of height, perhaps I've never mentioned that I am only 5'3"?

Dress - Target
Lace cardigan - vintage
Headband - Sportsgirl
Bow belt - Rusty
Shoes - Levis

Bizarre Polaroid #1

I recently bought a paper ephemera package from Etsy and this Polaroid fell out and I just had to share it. I stuck it on my pin-board so I can see it every day. I wonder what the circumstances surrounding this Polaroid are - somebody in a giant bunny costume with a Scotty dog, also in costume, on their lap. Almost too perfect.

Also, I just couldn't help myself but share these photos of my cat in my sewing machine box. She stayed in there for a while, even when I shut it. I find it fascinating that my cats love confined spaces. They also like to hide in the (partially covered and unused) fireplaces, but aren't too keen on the backyard, I think it's too big for them and the neighbourhood cats scare them.

Seen/taken any fun photos lately? :)

In/Out

^ Natalie Dee.

This is just a little mail post as I spent most of the week underneath a pile of zines and yellow envelopes and very few letters were written. I swear I'll chip a bunch off the pile this week! I wish I had more hours in my days! I hope your mailbox has been happy of late :)

^ A lovely envelope and lovely letter from my little sister.

^ I bought one of Jane's lovely zines and this is the great packaging it came in.

^ Another warm, wonderful letter from Megan.

^ This package was postmarked 'MAY 27', can you believe it? It had a long stay in customs and then it was delayed by arriving at my old address instead of being redirected, where my ex-housemate, who has never sent a letter in his life, had no idea what to do with it despite many detailed Facebook messages. Eventually I just asked my mum to pick it up from my old house which she did, then she flew to Fiji and forgot to post it, so finally my sister found it for me, wrote my new address on it and threw on some new stamps. Phew! And it was an excellent package from Jane and I am going to fast track a little something back.

^ Lovely things from Astrid in Germany.

^ A sweet postcard from L.

^ I purchased a great ephemera package from Chaos Supplies and this was the cool packaging.

^ Something for a lovely Send Something penpal.

^ A piece of ocean for Kendra.

^ A little letter for Melissa.

^ For Canadian Liz.

^ For lovely Faiza.

Also, I've been adding a couple more items to my Etsy store one by one, including the above Parfait Lady notecards today which are $4 for 6. I think they are all I'm going to be writing on for a few weeks.

PS. This post is my 300th post on this blog!
