Just a Minute...
...in March...

+ I received a gorgeous wind-up robot from Rin for my birthday. A wonderful surprise present. I've been making it walk around my cats and they hate it.

+ Milkbar opened and I got really excited.

+ C wanted to buy this little couch for our cats, and I saw this big comfy couch at Raincheck Lounge.

+ I saw some interesting signs in Hobart.

+ I celebrated my birthday and received some sweet goodies and went out for lunch.

+ I wore a lot of red.

+ I made a little display for my nail polishes and painted my nails about twenty times to try to stop from biting them.

+ I sent off some picnic invitations.

+ photo #4583 of me squinting.

I bought this dress when I was in Hobart on the weekend. I basically save all my pennies for these little Hobart jaunts so I can go spy all the pretty dresses. Launceston leaves a bit to be desired in the clothes front (besides my beloved vintage sellers). I have been trying to branch out and tone down the red overuse, but I think it is my safety blanket.

Today I am writing an essay then riding my bike to work. Very mundane. It is much more enjoyable to do mundane things in fun outfits.

+ Dress: Dangerfield/Revival
+ Stockings: Sportsgirl
+ Shoes: Harajuku Lovers
+ Cardigan: Maxim
+ Headband: Diva

Little Joys

+ ma & chr

+ existential conversations with (very drunk) people at parties
+ walks around suburbia at night (with my boy, don't worry!)
+ pastel pink nails
+ birthday cards from lovely internet friends
+ writing an essay and actually enjoying it
+ that post-work out bliss (I never thought I'd be saying those words)
+ peppermint tea
+ having a boyfriend who chooses things for me to try on when we're out clothes shopping (I ended up buying a skirt I would never have picked because he slid it under the change room door and forced me to try it on)
+ yellow, yellow, yellow (second favourite colour)
+ having my hair brushed (thanks boy)
+ competitions to win adorable bikes
+ 5 days off work in a row
+ using messy inks in drawing class
+ irresistibly sweet puppy dogs (I'm going to sign up to walk dogs at the RSPCA soon)
+ watching classic movies from the 80s/90s that I'd never seen (Ghostbusters + Cool Runnings)
+ lovely, thoughtful belated gifts from family (I like it when presents are late - it makes it feel like it's still my birthday)
+ growing my hair out (and resisting the urge to chop it!). soon it will be longer than it's ever been.
+ hearing people singing along to songs in the supermarket in the next aisle over
+ adorable little shops in Hobart (and meeting the lovely ladies who work there - and their cute puppy dogs)

+ Shaun Huckins makes awesome little paintings on paint chips.
+ Marion Bolognesi's watercolour portrait paintings are so beautiful.
+ Barbie steps into the frames of famous artworks.
