A Stranger's Roll Of Film

Remember way back in September when I posted my photos from Rhianne's It's a Photoswap? Well, I sent my roll of film off to Michelle and she sent me hers. After a bit of a long-winded fiasco with the company that my workplace gets to develop film going bankrupt, then them losing my the roll of film for several months, I finally got it back and had it developed. It was rather exciting to look at these lovely images taken by somebody I've never met in places I've never been. Here are a couple of my favourites from the set - all credit to Michelle Kuek.

Midweek 6

+ I'm obsessed with pies at the moment. I want to make sweet potato & buttermilk, blackberry icecream pie and lattice topped peach.
+ When I finally get around to learning how to crochet, these gorgeous coasters will be high on my list.
+ Katyha made this very pretty and very wise graphic.
+ I saw this months ago, but felt like reposting it - it's Nothing But Bonfires' 60 Years of Memories letters for her father's birthday. So lovely.
+ If you've been living inside a (wi-fi free) cave and haven't seen the lovely Photoshop tutorials and downloadables Pugly Pixel has been doing lately, do so! She just released her Blog Bling Kit Pt 2.
+ Another oldie but a goodie - Oh Joy's Postcard Birthday Poster.

Diana Adventures

These are some photos from my latest roll of film from my Diana Mini. I had some problems with the film jamming part way through the roll, so there were probably only about thirty shots on the roll (for a roll of film that usually takes more than double that) and most of them were very blurry. Nothing compares to my first ever roll in my Diana. Even still, there were a couple of shots I really liked. The photos are from as far back as last July when I went home to Newcastle and also a bunch of shots from a trip to the tulip farm.

I've found a new place to send film off to called Extrafilm - it's much cheaper than in any shops around here (um, $25 a roll? Nu-uh). For any Australians - I really recommend them. They sent me a bunch of free stuff and coupons for my next order.

The last shot is probably my favourite.

These are my new favourite shoes. I bought them for a special occasion and have been very bad at not wearing them until the special occasion. They have a cute little heel on the back and are rather comfy. I am thinking I'll have to buy another pair for myself because I'm sure I'm going to scuff these ones up beforehand. I rarely go without stockings, but today is a lovely sunny Autumn day and C and I are going for a bike ride out to the main university campus to do essay research. I conveniently angled my legs so that you can't see my gigantic bicycle bruises. I've had one giant one on the side of my leg for about two weeks from my bike falling on me and I'm watching it turn all different colours. I'm sure any bicycling ladies out there can relate. My legs are always so knocked about, bruises and scrapes and dents. But all worth it for the love of riding.
